The 3 Masters

The other day, I was discussing about one of my stories, ‘The Choice’ with an acquaintance. We were having a debate on whether or not our ancestors should have made a different choice in their lives. I was for and he was against. I don’t know if he truly meant or believed whatever he said deep down or added those points just because they supported his argument, I anyway want to pen-down the battle in my blabbering mind.

In that particular story I was talking about a world without money, but I dint go deep into listing what would be the pros and cons. Because it’s not how we imagine today, our evolution would grow on in a different direction and we cannot reach there with our imagination alone. I received multiple replies saying, money is motivation and without money we would still be apes or nomads or even hunter-gatherers. And there would be no new inventions and technological up gradations like we have today. That’s exactly my point, we are trying to imagine today’s world without money. What I am saying is, imagine a world which evolved without the invention of money.

Anyway what are we doing with all the money and technology? Making more money and more technology! I see no point. What will we do with all the technology? Be lazy asses all the time, make stupid judgement on how people should behave and strive to live like everybody else is pretending to live.

We all know robots. I somewhere read, there are robot-like artificial locomotive organs for humans which works on the signals sent by our brain wearing a specialized helmet. Forget virtual presence, with this upcoming technology, you can be actually present in 2 distant places at the same time. Walk, talk, touch and control situations, sitting in your room wearing a helmet which receives brain signals and transmits to the robots in Antarctica. The robots in-turn send signals to our brains via helmet, the responses to the stimuli we sent. Any of you aware of a movie called “Surrogates”?

The intention behind the invention of this technology was to serve people who have no/lost their hands and legs and other body parts. Yes, like Stephen Hawking. But it is expected to be used by other normal people to various other purposes. God knows in what hand this technology falls in. There’s another technology where a sensor and a pump is installed into human body, which senses the blood sugar level, keeps track and also pumps insulin whenever required without human intervention. (These are collection of information and not from any particular scientific source) And with this, super humans might emerge in future and we would become outdated and extinct!

Now the evolution theory of Darwin can be brought up and argue that this is evolution from humans to super humans. Outdated humans, people who can’t afford new technologies and people who refuse to adopt to the growing technology might perish & die and others evolve and live on, like, survival of the fittest. (We are forgetting the main aspect- Negativity) Let’s try to imagine this situation. Let’s go to 2300 AD!

There’s a saying, “Answer to the future, lies in the past”. Oops! Sorry. We will have to go to the past. Let’s talk about some of the technologies our ancestors used, not devices but theories, practices, ideologies, rituals and some ‘things’ for the way of living and how horribly they are taking wrong turns now. Some examples are, Money, Marriage, and Ministry.

MONEY

Intention behind the invention of money was to trade all products according to its actual value. Now Value is misunderstood as price. Long ago, people valued goods and services but now, we set price according to market rates and inflation. Those prices are further increased by hoarding and creating artificial shortage of goods just to increase its demand and prices. Likewise, people who have more money than required for survival, acquire more and more wealth and make it unavailable to the people who strive to acquire limited wealth by years of hard work. And those people will stay indebted for life to a wealthy man who also has the share of wealth of a common man.

For example, if I have 2 houses, I stay in one and rent-out another for a tenant, the tenant pays the rent for the rest of his life but will not be able to buy a house, because I and my friends have bought more and more houses, and prices have reached outer space. In case my tenant finds a house with reasonable price, I will go offer the seller, more money than my tenant is ready to pay. Of course, the seller will sell his house to the highest bidder. This is where we are going wrong, intention is not to acquire more and more wealth, but to value goods and services in one exchangeable currency. But today our intention is to make more and more money and become the richest man on earth. What pride!

If we have a chocolate pie for dinner today, we will cut it into as many pieces as the number of members of the family. If one wants to eat an extra piece, another member has to starve. Like our world, wealth is distributed in the hands of only a few people, others are starving to death. We do not take that as our responsibility, because we do not think our resources are limited and we take the excuse of Survival of the fittest to let others to starve to death. Let everybody work and earn more money to fill their stomach, if they are dumb enough they will perish and die. What do we care!

You think it stops there and you will enjoy your riches? No. There are 2 sides to this

1 Some dumb people will die of course, but those with talent and no education, go wild. They will slowly understand how this cycle is working on them, they will rebel against all the systems we create, and they will adopt Illegal (According to our monetary world) methods to make money. So the results are, Robbery, theft, pick-pocketing, murders for a handful of money, bettings, cheat trading, scams, insurance, underworld and what not!

2 We are always in fear of losing money or emptying it or not having enough money. Because nobody wants to fall to the category of dumb, poor people. So we risk our money on various stock or business options to double it, or we store our hard-earned money without spending at all, or we keep recycling. Like, I have some money, I will invest somewhere and make it earn me more money continuously for life (revenue income), even after I die, all of my upcoming off springs should be able to enjoy that income. Ok, now I’m receiving a continuous income from my best choice of investment, what do I do? Will I enjoy it? No, I will again invest it somewhere. Where am I going to end up like this?

That is also not enough, if my children, or grand-children, make use of that money and enjoy their lives, I will consider them dumb! For using my income to enjoy and not investing it in better investment options. I don’t want to stop it and enjoy it myself, I don’t want any of my future generations to stop and enjoy their income. I just need my money to keep recycling itself. I can certainly not see a point in that!

Either ways, we are not happy with our money. Happy are those who have less money, no fear of theft no fear of bankruptcy, they are only concerned about now and here. It is simple, "keep money in its place, do not keep it in your head".

MARRIAGE

Hmmm… this is a tricky technology. As we all know, we need different things at different phases of our lives. In infanthood, eating and sleeping. In childhood, Mother and some toys when Amma is busy! In adolescence friends, games, physical activities. In adulthood freedom, love, sex, friends, care, attention, adventures and some productive work to cool our boiling blood. In middle age, probably some stability in life, a normal routine, we might feel we wasted our life going after something we don’t need any more, we would be overflowing with thousands of questions, we want to be better achieved by now compared to our close-circle of friends and family and occasionally company of like-minded people. Again in old-age, we need love, care, silent company, eating and sleeping. (I’m guessing the last two phases, correct me if I’m wrong)

So we can say our ancestors decided things to do, as and when they were approached with any particular phase. Also, they studies others round them, elder & younger people and they planned action plan for future by both experience and watching others. When they saw people alone and miserable, living together was the solution. When our ancestors saw people suffering old-age and diseases they said, reproducing is the solution, as children will take care of them in oldage.  So can i say our ancestors found permanent solutions for temporary needs.!? Like, we do not need toys and other various things in all phases, but is it sensible to make them(toys etc) permanent luggage for life.!? 

Now we know, how our life will be like, birth, play, school, college, work, marriage, children, torturing children with our broken-experiences and tell them to do what we say, old-age, and death. But our ancestors did not know this in the beginning, they carefully studied what changes they were going through and passed down their inferences to their children and then to grand-children and so on. So now when a baby is born, its whole life is planned and prepared; it just has to be born, be there and die. A new born baby has no option of exploring what it is and why is it even here. We have all planned and fixed its life. Time to time we enlighten the baby with our broken-experience and build its life exactly how ours is!

How did the concept of marriage come into existence? I am writing my opinion, you give me yours in comments section below.

When early humans reached adulthood, they made love to their opposite gender and did not bother any further. When women were giving birth to babies, whole of communal would nurture it and take part in its growth and raise them all together. Once people started settling down at one place for agriculture, they were confused as to, which baby will inherit whose properties. So they decided to live with women they made love to, and prohibited them from making love to others. This worked for some time, but humans are humans, they secretly made love to others, when this went to extreme, people decided give and take promises to be loyal and faithful just because they were not ready to share their property or wealth with somebody else’s child.

There’s another theory of memory, ie., genetic memory which lasts longer than we can imagine, and which can be dangerous, if we confuse that memory, in our journey of afterlife and next birth. Let’s keep this aside for now, and we’ll discuss it later in other stories.

So marriages started, people who were simple minded and did not want to imbalance nature’s plan for us were happily married ever after. But those who were already complex and did not believe in such notions, found loops to satisfy themselves like, male/female prostitution and brothels. This worked for some time, we were enraged with people committing “sins” so we decided marriage is the best way of life and considered love and sex-education was wrong-doings or crime. But again humans are humans, even if you don’t give them sex-education, their bodies will tell them. But they are frustrated, angry with what is happening to them, of course they can’t talk to people about it and fall prey to the devils in their minds and crimes like rapes and psychic-obsessions happen. Mere lack of proper education and prohibition of basic bodily instincts makes man a rogue animal.

I am sure in the beginning of time, people made love to express themselves and I am also sure marriages were started to have a company to live life than suffer alone. These days everybody’s goal is to earn, marry and reproduce. No one cares to be completely involved in making love and let nature decide our next path, everyone is busy running the race and pretending to be winning at it! Well, the race expects us to settle down as soon as possible, marry as soon as possible and make babies as soon as possible. People who robotically succeed in doing these are the race-winners, not those who take time to think what they actually want to do. No matter how miserable you are, you should be earning, marrying and reproducing.

We need to unburden ourselves with whatever we don't need anymore and carry only what we need right now. Also collecting extra baggage for future is also unnecessary, because we all know future is uncertain. Either you can happily embrace or miserably suffer- life anyway happens. "Learn to let go" 

What works for one never work for another, how are we generalizing the whole world population into one human routine of robotic life? I have no idea!

MINISTRY

I am already sorry for whatever I will say because, I know nothing about government and politics. But this is necessary here with above topics. I’m sure of one thing that, the intention behind setting up a system this huge was good, but again it is not consciously evolving. It is just growing from all sides like a ginger!

There’s a human tendency to take charge of/control his/her surroundings and situations. It doesn’t work with everybody, especially not people with evil/selfish intentions.The urge to control people and situations around us, makes us want be leader of a larger mass. The bigger the population to control, more the ego is fed. That makes us want more and more of that ‘Master and Slave’ feels. And that’s how people end up being politicians. I’m sure, the intention of first ever leader was to bring justice to his people. At first, it will be Good, then something will go wrong, and in the end the same thing is Bad!

Everybody wants to feel superior to others in one or another way. Again there are 2 sides or ways in which we achieve that superiority,

1 By working hard and achieving success or being a leader with good intension, to help everyone grow into their success.

2 By showing others/convincing oneself that other people are inferior to me, by boasting about themselves or treating others inferior or even by helping others with the intention of making them indebted to you.

One group of people want more money and another group of people want more and more power. Politicians are the ones who want more and more of both money and power, not to make their jurisdiction a better place to live, but because of their personal greed and ego. And guess what!? Nobody wants Responsibility. Nobody wants to be answerable to anybody. And people who are not satisfied with any of the systems working in this world, will join terrorism and make the whole world fear them!

You might think, I only did a little selfish thing, why should I be responsible for the negativity of the whole world. Everybody thinks, I am doing only a little not-so-good things, but see collectively how huge our small-tiny negativity has resulted, to make half of our whole world into negativity. I could even say ¾ of the world, but trying to neither be optimistic nor pessimistic.

How do we know, we running our race for Love, Money and Power on right tracks? What if we are racing on the other side of the nature’s line? What if we are winning an evil race? Whatever done is done. Can we be civilized, smart and aware enough, to choose wisely from Right Now? I know it is really huge transformation, but necessary.

In the end everything comes down to money. It plays its role in all the human phases and even in death, the other day I saw an ad on television which promised to cover your funeral costs if you start paying the minimum monthly premium now. No offense, just saying ;). May you all live a long life.
